IT’S A WRAP!

This week marks the end of the term across most North American campuses. If you haven’t already, you will write that last exam, shelve your texts for reference or resale, and file your notes and labs.

Self-congratulation is in order for making it through. So is celebration with friends, and maybe taking moments of self-acceptance and reflection.

This week I’m sharing some reflections that can bear fruit down the road, as well as helping close the year. So take a tea in a quiet space and reflect, in no particular order:

What have you learned about yourself these past two terms?

How are you different from the you that you were last September?

What worked well for you this year?

What do you look back on ruefully that didn’t work so well?

Any thoughts about how to handle it if you run into this again?

What did you try that you had never tried before?

                       What caught you by surprise?

What turned out to be not as bad as you thought it was going to be?

What single change would you make–what would you do differently?

How did you manage the constant change from in-person to online

and then back again (and again) for classes, labs and exams?

What was the high point of the year for you?

Now endorse for every effort made, for self-maintenance, and for picking it up when you let it drop!

It’s a wrap!!!

A shout-out to those of you who are enrolled in fast-paced spring and summer courses: You’ll have your checklist of tasks to complete by this weekend. Starting next week, I’ll be discussing strategies for gaining results in an intense six-week course.
