PAUSE. RESET.
If you’re reading this close to when I’m posting it, you’ll be ready and into the golden long weekend of the year.
Summer’s almost over–but not quite. Work and academic commitments are on hold. There isn’t the high excitement and celebration of the July national holiday. There isn’t the obligatory family gathering and food fest of Thanksgiving. There isn’t the spiritual intensity of religious holidays.
There’s just this long weekend, on its own, before we start again, start fresh.
I encourage you to take this weekend as a gift to yourself. To enjoy the last of sun and air, or of summer rain, if that is the case.
Take that reward you’ve planned–or not.
Enjoy the specialness of your special people.
Or party hearty (and safe).
Or enjoy time just for yourself.
Or whatever is a gift, a gift to savour this weekend.
Next week will be the week before classes start–but that’s next week.
This weekend, rest. Reset. Next week will be the time to reboot.
Me? I’m camping. See you early next week.
